Hi, I'm Gabby Hood and I am running for Mayor because I believe in a better Racine for everybody.

Born and raised in Racine, Wisconsin, Gabby understands firsthand the challenges families face and dedicates her career working to seek solutions and improve the community that shaped her.
Via her career in law enforcement, Gabby has earned a reputation for compassion, fairness, and integrity. Whether serving the local neighborhoods, responding in moments of crisis, or building trust through community-oriented policing, Gabby believes that the key to success across Racine starts with strong relationships, mutual respect, and a responsibility to do what’s right.
Beyond the badge, Gabby is a mother, coach, dedicated community organizer and fierce advocate for marginalized communities. Gabby is the founder and executive director of Benner Beats Hunger, a food insecurity initiative that provided over 3,200 nutritious summer meals to Racine families in Summer 2025, and is expanding the program in 2026. She is also the Board Chair for HALO, Racine County’s only homeless shelter, where she guides operations and fiscal management. Gabby has led and leads various initiatives to support youth development, expand access to critical resources, and unite residents across different backgrounds across southeastern Wisconsin.
From organizing community conversations and mentoring programs to spearheading partnerships with local schools, nonprofits, and faith-based groups, Gabby works tirelessly to amplify community voices and create lasting, sustainable change in the city because she truly believes that strong communities are built from the ground up.
